Celebrating Scouting in Dunstable since 1972!
Troop 28 is a vibrant BSA troop based in the Dunstable Massachusetts, part of the community for over 50 years and also one of the first troops in the area to provide options for both boys and girls.
We utilize this website, which provides overview information as well as password-protected planning and communication resources for our scouts and leaders, to inform parents, Scouts, and potential new recruits.
About Troop 28- Scouts BSA Troops for Boys and Girls!
Chartered by the Dunstable Evangelical Congregational Church in 1972, Troop 28 is proud to be a member of the community for over 50 years! And in February 2019, Troop 28 chartered one of the first Scouts BSA Girls Troops! In 2024 Troop 28 was selected to be one of Scouting America's pilot Troops allowing both boys and girls to participate in the same Troop.Troop 28 follows the principles of a youth-led troop and operates by the Patrol Method. Patrol Leaders Council (PLC), with the support and insight from the Troop's Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmasters, plans and executes all the Troop's activities including troop meetings, camp outs, and summer camp. In Troop 28, we believe in an environment where scouts can learn and have fun at the same time.
Weekly Meetings
Troop 28 meets every Monday during the school year from 7:00 - 8:30 PM. The Troop meets at the Dunstable Church, located on Main St. We normally do not meet when the Groton-Dunstable schools are closed (holidays, teacher workdays, snow days, or during the summer).
